Our Offerings

T.A.C.T. invites children

to move out of fear

and self-doubt into,

“I got this!”

~TACT Parent

At T.A.C.T., our services are unique and custom tailored. Our goal is to reach the entire community. Our mobile component sets up workshops and classes in coordination with local churches, schools, recreational centers, camps and parents. In addition, we host night and weekend classes throughout the month in our Denver RiNo facility. We teach a variety of trade skills specifically to individuals on the Autism Spectrum. The best part? The students get to keep what they make!

Night/Weekend Classes: Register Here!

Our class sizes are limited to 6 students each (with the exception of Metal Work, limit 2). Please sign up in advance online to reserve your spot. Class signups are closed 24 hours prior to scheduled time to allow for teacher preparation. Thank you for your understanding!

  • Automotive Service Technology

The ability to diagnose problems with engines as well as mechanical or electrical systems is highly in demand and affords many opportunities. The satisfaction of implementing the needed repairs makes this career challenging, stimulating and financially rewarding. Students in the Automotive Service Technology program work on a variety of cars, trucks and vehicles for a in-depth and thorough automotive education.
  • Carpenter's Apprentice

Carpentry students will develop skills in layout blueprint reading, safe hand and power tool usage, form working, finish work and framing. Additional experience will be gained in furniture, cabinetry and form development.
  • Computer Science

TACT’s Computer Science program introduces students to the software, hardware, and networking components of the Information Technology (IT) field. Our approach is very hards-on, individualized and holistic. We learn how the hardware is built, wired and designed before we use the software to program it.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you only teach children with Autism Spectrum Disorder?

Yes, our mission is for this amazing community and their families.

Who are your founders?

T.A.C.T. was founded in 2016 by Danny and Claire Combs

Do you have an office?

Yes, we are located at 2900 Brighton Blvd in Denver, Colorado's RiNo District. In addition to the classes that we hold there, we are also a mobile program that partners with local businesses, churches, recreation centers, families and organizations. We can come to you or a partnered location in our awesome 1958 Chevrolet Panel Truck!

Do the students get to keep everything they make?

Yes! Students get to keep all the projects they make. The only exception is the small engine repair and auto mechanics courses where students are working on a community project or an electronics class where students use equipment and robots to learn with.

What is your non-profit tax ID number?

TACT Kids, Inc. is a Federal 501(c)(3). Our FEIN is 81-3015819.

Can we get a tax deductible donation if we donate to TACT?

Yes! Please contact us for details.

We’re interested in hosting a course and partnering with you. Who do we contact?

Please contact us at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

Do you have a Board of Directors?

Yes! Check out Our Story for more information.

We’d like to donate tools and supplies for your program. How do we do that?

Thank you! Please contact us first with the details of your donation so we can be on the lookout for it. Our mailing address is: TACT Kids, Inc. PO Box 11056 Denver, CO 80211

Are the projects hard?

We teach a variety of different levels. We have patient and kind teachers. We teach tool safety first. We believe it is important for the students to respect the tools and the materials. The projects may be hard, but they’ll be rewarding and hopefully spark a lifelong interest or career.

Will the kids get dirty?

Yes and no. If they’re working on an engine – then yes. If they’re knitting a stress ball – then no. We’ll provide information upon registration about the proper attire.

Do parents need to be present?

Yes, we ask that each child has a parent or guardian present throughout the class time. Summer Camps and for-credit classes are the exception to this rule.

I’m not sure if my child can handle your course, what should we do?

Before each course we spend time on the phone talking with each parent, asking questions and trying to learn about your kiddo. You know them best and can provide us with the insight to help them be successful. We’re willing to work hard to make it happen!

My child is nonverbal, is that OK?

Absolutely. We speak with parents before the courses and we’ll make the proper arrangements to help them be successful.
