At TACT we believe in providing students with the skills, confidence and avenues to find gainful employment. We are so proud of several of our students for starting their first jobs. We are so proud of you!
80 to 90% -- This is the average rate of unemployment in the Autism Community. At TACT we are starting to see the effect of our training and skill-building programs on breaking this trend with over 80% of our working age students from our for-credit program being offered and/or accepting a job!
One of our students is beginning his placement at CPI Card Group, another is continuing his work with TACT Construction LLC, and a third is working with The Possibility Pool, another non-profit serving the disability community in Denver. We can't wait to see them succeed in their new roles!
Coming Fall of 2019!
We are expanding our weekday schedule for high school for-credit classes! Classes will be held 5 days a week with additional sections of Automotive Services and Carpentry as well as the addition of WELDING.
TACT is also in the planning stages of adding an exciting and much needed career pre-apprenticeship program entitled ACCEPT (Autism Career Centered Education Placement Training) -- We eagerly await your input and feedback! If you have a child between the ages of 18 and 30, please complete our quick online poll (it should take less than 5 minutes) and be entered in a drawing for TACT swag -- your choice of t-shirt or mug.
