Fall 2018: Future Focused

As always, the TACT team hit the ground running this Fall with fun and exciting project-based learning in the classroom. Our three for-credit high school classes have had a great first month and we're ramping up for the future.

Students have been hard at work learning coding concepts (Computer Science), practicing refinishing techniques (Carpentry) and making various upgrades to a 1953 Ford F100 (Automotive Services). A few field trips, to Earth-Links and the Denver Department of Public Safety, have given students some real-world applications to the skills they are learning in class. We're also excited that our students will have the opportunity to attend the SkillsUSA Colorado Fall Leadership conference in November! SkillsUSA is a national membership association serving high school, college and middle school students who are preparing for careers in trade, technical and skilled service occupations.
